About the Programme Design

The programme adopts a blended learning Smart School model.  In this educational model, we leverage technology to offer a mix of self-directed learning and online tutorial sessions led by qualified tutors. In addition to online components, the programme includes on-site educational experiences. These in-person elements focus on laboratory skills and collaborative projects that necessitate hands-on experience for effective learning. For students who need extra support, our on-site sessions also feature specialized learning assistance to help them better understand the course material.

Cambridge International AS & A Level Biology (9700)

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Biology curriculum delves deep into the intricate mechanisms and systems of life. Cambridge International A/AS Mathematics

Mathematics

Our Mathematics programme prepares students for the Cambridge International AS and A Level Mathematics. The Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics helps students develop transferable skills. These skills include working with mathematical information, thinking logically and independently, considering accuracy, modelling situations mathematically, analysing results, and reflecting on findings. Students can apply these skills across a wide range of subjects, and the skills equip them well for university studies in Mathematics.

About The Program Design​

The IGSH mathematics programme adopts a blended learning Smart school model. In this education model, we use technologies to deliver a significant part of the education for both self-directed learning (SDL) and tutor-facilitated tutorials (TFL) online. We also deliver a smaller part of the education onsite. The onsite courses relate to mathematics enrichment courses that involves solving real world problem through data collection that require acquiring skills and hands-on experience for effective learning. The onsite courses may also include learning support programme for learners who are need more guidance in grasping the content presented.

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Mathematics helps students develop a set of transferable skills. These include the skill of working with mathematical information, as well as the ability to think logically and independently, consider accuracy, model situations mathematically, analyse results and reflect on findings. Students can apply these skills across a wide range of subjects and the skills equip them well for progression to higher education or directly into employment.

Cambridge International AS & A Level Further Mathematics (9231)

The Cambridge International AS & A Level Further Mathematics helps students develop a set of transferable skills. These include the skill of working with mathematical information, as well as the ability to think logically and independently, consider accuracy, model situations mathematically, analyse results and reflect on findings. Students can apply these skills across a wide range of subjects and the skills equip them well for progression to higher education or directly into employment.  Students will find that the additional time spent studying Further Mathematics will support their understanding of A Level Mathematics.
Key concepts are essential ideas that help students develop a deep understanding of their subject and make links between different aspects. The key concepts for Cambridge International AS & A Level Further Mathematics are:

There are four Further Mathematics components that can be combined in specific ways:

We offer an English Language programme that is centred on helping students develop the four communicative functions: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In so doing, we adhere to global standards of supporting students, in the learning of language. Focusing on these four skills will also help prepare our students for IELTS, which is a globally recognized English proficiency test, required by many universities for admission.

Our English Language programme progresses in 3 phases:
 
Phase 1 – To help students transition from beginners to intermediate EL by international standards according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
 
Phase 2 – To help students apply language skills to understanding subject matter and assessment, elevating them through increasingly advanced material
 
Phase 3 – To prepare students for a fully EL-mediated university programme
 
*Our English Language programme will culminate in an IELTS qualification. The International English Language Testing System, or IELTS, is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers.
 
Students can choose to sit for the IELTS test between Mid-Year 2 to End-Year 3 while on the Invictus Global School programme.
